When we look further into the line of my grandmother Carlie Ann Allen, we see that Alex Allen, born 1868, (son of George Allen, and Anna Shan), was Carlie's father. From here, we'll take a look at the sister of Alex. Her name was Lucretia "Creasy Allen, born 1863. Creasy, married Shadrick Payne, born 1855 of Gladstone, Nelson, VA.

Marriage of Shadrick Payne and Creasy Allen

Shadrick, and Creasy had 25 children in total, but only 18 of them survived. These children married into the Hicks, Wheeler, Kidd, Ellis, Johnson, Brown, Revely, Glover, Irving, and Taliaferro family lines.
